Elizabeth Parsons MD
Consultation and Group Psychotherapy
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Parsons. I'm a family physician by training but have had a focused practice in psychotherapy since 2007.
I am a level 3 trained certified IFS therapist and IFS-Institute approved consultant. I am also level 2 trained in Sensorimotor psychotherapy. I have additional training in Somatic IFS, Intimacy from the Inside Out, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mindful self-compassion.
Having experienced the power of groups first hand over many years, both personally and professionally, I have decided to dedicate my work to providing therapeutic group experiences
I work to provide a supportive and compassionate environment for people to explore their inner world while in the company of others.
As a white, cis, heterosexual, able-bodied woman I recognize the many privileges that I experience and I continue to educate myself through an anti-oppressive lens.
My work focuses on a variety of topics and issues, including climate grief, exploring gender identity, interpersonal anxiety and connection, mindful self-compassion, and finding meaning in life.
I look forward to meeting you!
"Strength of heart comes from knowing that the pain that we each must bear is part of the greater pain shared by all that lives. It is not just "our" pain but the pain, and realizing this awakens our universal compassion." Jack Kornfield
